After completing the Business Details section, click the Continue button to proceed.

Business Representative Details:

You will be asked to provide the details of the representative or owner of the business who will handle the account:

  • Full Name: Enter the first, middle, and last name of the representative.
  • Date of Birth: Select the representative’s date of birth from the date picker.
  • Gender: Choose the appropriate gender.
  • Phone Number: Enter a valid phone number that will be used for communication and verification.
  • Email Address: Provide an active email address where notifications and OTP (One-Time Password) will be sent.

Once you have filled in all required fields, click Continue to move on to the next section.

Step 2: Create an Agent Account

This section is necessary if you're registering as an agent representing a business. You'll provide personal details for identification and verification.

Enter Representative Information:

  • First Name: Enter the first name of the agent.
  • Last Name: Enter the last name of the agent.
  • Middle Name (if applicable): Fill out the middle name field.
  • Date of Birth: Select the date of birth from the date picker.
  • Phone Number: Enter a valid phone number for communication. This will also be used for verification.
  • Email Address: Provide a valid email address.
  • State: Select the state in which the business is registered.
  • LGA (Local Government Area): Choose the LGA from the available options.

Step 3: Email Verification

Once you’ve completed the previous steps, Katsu will send a verification email to the provided email address. Follow these instructions:

OTP Verification:

  • Check your email inbox for an OTP (One-Time Password).
  • Enter the OTP: Input the 6-digit OTP sent to your email address into the provided field on the website.
  • If you did not receive the OTP, click Resend OTP and try again.
  • Once you have entered the correct OTP, click Verify Email to confirm your email address.

Step 4: Welcome Screen

Upon successful email verification, you will be greeted with a Welcome message indicating that the registration process has started.

Confirmation Message:

A message will appear saying, “Welcome, [Business Name]. We’re thrilled to have you on board!”
Click Continue to Dashboard to proceed to the account setup.

Step 5: Verify Business Owner’s Details

At this stage, you will need to verify the business owner or representative’s details. This step is necessary for account security and compliance.

Phone Number Verification:

  • You will be prompted to verify the phone number you provided earlier.
  • You will receive a verification code via SMS that you need to enter in the system.

National Identification Number (NIN):

  • Enter the National Identification Number (NIN) of the business owner or representative to validate their identity. This is a required step for regulatory purposes.

Bank Verification Number (BVN):

  • Enter the Bank Verification Number (BVN) of the business owner or representative. This unique 11-digit number is required for Nigerian businesses to complete identity verification.

Identity Documents:

  • Upload official identity documents of the business owner or representative. This may include a National ID card, international passport, or driver’s license.

Step 6: Verify Business Details

The next step involves verifying business details to ensure your business meets Katsu’s requirements.

Business Registration Document:

  • Upload the official business registration document, such as the CAC certificate, that proves your business’s legal status.

Proof of Business Address:

  • You’ll need to upload a utility bill (such as an electricity or water bill) that shows the business address. Ensure that the address on the bill matches the one provided during registration.

Step 7: Liveness Check

To confirm your identity, a liveness check will be performed.

Liveness Verification:

  • The system will prompt you to use your camera to take a picture of yourself.
  • Face the camera and ensure your face is within the picture frame for accurate verification.
  • The system will check if the photo is real and not a static image or a video. Follow all on-screen instructions for a successful verification.

Step 8: Final Activation

After completing the verification process, your account will be activated.

Account Activation Confirmation:

  • You will receive a confirmation message like, “Hi [Your Name], Your account has been activated successfully.”
  • You’ll be provided with your Account Number and Bank Name.

Create Transaction PIN:
